At its heart, the Chocolate Ganache Cake features layers of velvety chocolate devil's food cake. Devil's food cake is known for its deep cocoa flavor, moist crumb, and slightly dense texture, making it an ideal canvas to carry the intense chocolate elements of the cake.
Between each layer of devil's food cake lies a generous spread of chocolate ganache. Ganache is a luxurious mixture of heavy cream and high-quality chocolate that's been melted together. It results in a smooth, creamy, and glossy texture with an intense chocolate taste. The ganache adds not only an extra layer of chocolatey goodness but also provides a silky contrast to the cake's texture.
To further elevate the cake's appearance and taste, the entire creation is coated with a layer of ganache. This coating serves both to encase the cake in a glossy, chocolatey finish and to provide a base for additional decorations.
The sides of the Chocolate Ganache Cake are adorned with a decorative border of more ganache, adding a visually pleasing contrast between the cake's rich interior and its exterior. This border not only enhances the cake's aesthetic appeal but also introduces an additional layer of chocolate flavor.
As a final touch, the cake is garnished with delicate chocolate shavings. These shavings are usually created by carefully shaving a high-quality chocolate bar or block, resulting in thin, elegant curls that are scattered on top of the cake. The chocolate shavings not only contribute to the cake's visual allure but also add a delightful textural element.
The Standard Grooms Cake does not include the Dipped Strawberries however, you can choose the quantity you will want below. We offer the following types of fresh strawberries... Plain, Chocolate, Marbled (Shown in Image.) and Tuxedo Strawberries. A lot of Grooms will get the Tuxedo Strawberries to represent each of the Grooms Men that are standing in the wedding.
